Be Watchful

Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning.  Mark 13:35

Christ Returneth
by James McGranahan, 1906

In may be at morn, when the day is awaking,
When sunlight through darkness and shadow is breaking
That Jesus will come in the fullness of glory
To receive from the world "His own."

O Lord Jesus, how long, how long
Ere we shout the glad song,
Christ returneth! Hallelujah!
Hallelujah! Amen. Hallelujah! Amen.

  1. Don't you just get a feeling of excitement within when you read this? I do. It's not that I can't wait, as I have things to do, people to love on...but, I am not afraid & look forward when my work here is done.

    1. Yes I do fet that feeling of excitement and I like you am not afraid but can wait. There is so much still to do and I hope to someday see my great-grandchildren. But when God's calls my name I am ready.
