Promises Day 3

 

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.

Jeremiah 31:25

 

We all, at one time or another, get frustrated.  We lay awake at night wondering if we will make it through the current crisis affecting our lives, if our kids will make it through a financial crisis, an ill family member, and quickly that fear and worry starts to bring us down into that deep dark pit.  But we have someone that will lift us out of the pit and the promise He gives us is more refreshing than a splash of cold water.  His promise touches our hearts and plants seeds of hope.  He will forgive, heal and refresh our hearts with His love for us.  In the light of His promise our worries will melt away and our fears will disappear.  

 

Today whatever is bothering you and keeping you awake, stop and asked God to take it away and refresh your soul. 

 

 

There Shall Be Showers of Blessing

There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

 

 

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

 

 

There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain.

 

 

There shall be showers of blessing;
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come, and now honor Thy Word.

 

 

There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call!

 

 

There shall be showers of blessing,
If we but trust and obey;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
If we let God have His way.
