Promises Day 1

My God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

How many times have we read this verse and thought God is going to give me everything I want.  I am going to have that new car, that really big house, designer clothes, my kids are going to go to the best school, and not have to worry about money.  I am going to have it all!

Guess what?  That isn't what this verse means at all.  This verse is a promise to us.  It comes from God's heart to our ears and it brings with it peace.  God promises to meet our needs according to His glorious riches.  God made this world and blessed it abundantly and every material thing on it is His.   All the gold, the silver, the gems, the knowledge, the wisdom belong to Him.  But these things are not what He is promising us.  His promise is His unconditional love for you and me.  Was it not His great love for us that He sent Jesus to die for us?  He will meet the needs we have and He will not withhold any other good thing from us.  God loves us that much!

God Will Take Care Of You

God will take care of you.
