I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1-2
Sometimes people can say or do things that hurt you to the very core of your soul. Your first impulse is to fire right back at them but if you do then the only person you are going to hurt is yourself and that is not what God's word tells us to do. We are to turn the other cheek and offer forgiveness for the hurt they have caused. What if they reject the olive branch you offered? God's word tells us that we are to love them and to pray for them. Is this easy? That would a great big NO! But if we look to God, He will help us and give us the strength to forgive the one who hurt us and we will be able to go on with the life that God has planned for us.
I am so glad that God loves me unconditionally. I am thankful everyday for a family and friends who love me in spite of my faults.
Love Lifted Me
I was sinking deep in sin, far
from the peaceful shore,
Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no
more,
But the Master of the sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters
lifted me, now safe am I.
Love lifted me!
Love lifted
me!
When nothing else could help,
Love lifted me!
All my heart to
Him I give, ever to Him I'll cling,
In His blessed presence live, ever His
praises sing,
Love so mighty and so true, merits my soul's best songs,
Faithful,
loving service, too, to Him belongs.
Souls in danger, look above, Jesus
completely saves,
He will lift you by His love, out of the angry
waves.
He's the Master of the sea, billows His will obey,
He your Savior
wants to be, be saved today.
