Her children arise and call her blessed...
Proverbs 31:28
Today is Mother's day and I have been thinking of my Momma a lot. Although it has been 33 years since she went to her heavenly home it still feels like yesterday. I miss have my morning coffee with her as we talked on the phone how our week had been each Saturday morning. I miss talking over problems with her as she always had the answer I needed to hear and if she didn't she would tell me to take my problems to God and to follow the will He had for my life. She taught me the proper way to pray and to always offer up thanksgiving to God for the things He had provided. I miss hearing her as she worked around the house singing a song that God had placed in her mind and on her heart. I miss her laugh and oh what an infectious laugh it was. No matter how bad you were feeling you could not help but laugh when she did. I miss the hugs she gave and the way she loved not only her five children but all her grandchildren.
I also know that no matter how much I am missing her right now she is happy in her heavenly home. I know that I will see her again one day and oh what a reunion that will be. You see I won't have any problems that I will need to talk over with her and there will definitely be a song in heart as the two of us sing praises to our Heavenly Father together. I know that not only will she be smiling but there will be laughter as well. I know that she is going to give me a hug that will be nothing like the ones she gave here on earth. So Momma until I see you again know that you are loved in a mighty way by those you left behind.
Happy Mother's Day Momma...
Love,
Shirley
